This week, let’s get to know Personal Injury Attorney, Jason Weaver, in the latest #AboutTheAttorney blog!
Born and raised in South Louisiana, Jason is a proud alumnus of St. Thomas More Catholic High School, LSU and Southern University Law Center. After college, Jason spent time working for the division of the Louisiana House of Representatives that actually writes the proposed bills for the legislators. During a summer in law school, he clerked for the US Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Louisiana.
When he’s not in the courtroom, you’ll find him on a different court…the basketball court! A HUGE basketball fan, Jason admits if he wasn’t practicing law he’d love to coach basketball. In his free time, this team player enjoys unwinding on the golf course, playing basketball, and spending time with his wife, Blaire.
In a fortuitous blend of the two, both basketball and law lead Jason to meet John and Rusty when he was only 15 years old playing basketball with them at a local health club. He’s known both since then, and was actually at home in Lafayette during a break right after law school when Rusty talked to him about a job opening at the firm. As they say, the rest is history!
Jason is passionate about teaming up with the close-knit group at Galloway Jefcoat and helping people. The best advice he has ever received as a lawyer is to “always remember that although you may be working on a lot of files, your client only has one file,” – a piece of advice he always keeps in mind.
Thank you Jason for being a valuable member of the #GJ Team! Check out Jason’s Bio HERE.
