Thinking Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness!

This October, Galloway Jefcoat saw the world through rose colored glasses! Throughout the month of October, the entire GJ staff took part in various activities to support Breast Cancer Awareness and Research!

On Friday, October 18th, our staff rocked their favorite pink outfits for national “Wear It Pink” day to raise awareness for Breast Cancer Research! The day served as the perfect way to get our team excited for the upcoming Witches Ride at Sugar Mill Pond!

The next afternoon, we grabbed our broomsticks and rode with the witches at the First Annual Witches Ride benefiting the Dodi Groves Breast Cancer Fund. The Witches Ride took place on Saturday, October 19th and was a fun-filled and family friendly event. It featured a family 5K bike ride, a 1 mile fun walk/run or a 5K fun run/walk, and also included a fall festival with activities for the kids, trick or treat time, food and drinks, music, and a Survivor Celebration that recognized all survivors in attendance.

Our very own, Shelly Maturin, served as the Co-organizer/co-founder of the event and of the Dodi Groves Fund.

“We couldn’t have asked for a more amazing day,” Shelly exclaimed. “The weather was picture perfect with an atmosphere and good vibes that were out of this world.  Acadiana came out in full force to support a great cause, and we are looking forward to an even bigger and better event next year!”

Galloway Jefcoat was a proud sponsor of the first annual Witches Ride. We had a Spooktacular time and we can’t wait to ride again next year!
