Jason Weaver


Born in Baton Rouge and raised in Lafayette, Social Security disability attorney Jason Weaver has been with the firm since 2013. After graduating from St. Thomas More Catholic High School, LSU, and the Southern University Law Center, Jason returned home and began practicing law with the personal injury lawyers of Galloway Jefcoat, LLP. Jason Weaver quickly gained a reputation for helping injured workers with disabilities recover the Social Security benefits they earned.

After graduating from LSU, Jason worked for the Louisiana House of Representatives for two legislative sessions. While in law school, Jason worked at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Louisiana. In addition, he also taught constitutional law at Belaire High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

At Galloway Jefcoat, LLP, Jason’s practice focuses primarily on serious personal injury litigation, including auto accidents and offshore personal injury. This includes cases falling under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act and the Jones Act. Jason also handles Social Security disability cases, as well as maintaining a succession, wills, and probate practice.

Jason is a member of the Louisiana Bar Association, the Lafayette Bar Association, the Lafayette Young Lawyer’s Association, the American Association of Justice, as well as the Louisiana Association of Justice. He is licensed to practice before all state courts, as well as the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana.

In his spare time, Jason coaches a middle school basketball team, enjoys spending time with family and friends, and stays active by playing basketball and football in local recreational leagues.
