Please welcome our newest addition to the team, Robert Doggett!
“The very basic core of a man’s living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.” -Into the Wild
Originally from Alexandria, Louisiana, a hot spot for rice and gravy, Robert pursued his first steps towards the legal field by attending LSU in Baton Rouge. He went on to receive his law degree from Southern University Law School with honors, Magna Cum Laude, ranking in the top 10 of his class.
“I love the creativity involved in the legal profession. No two cases are the same and each involves a unique approach.”
Robert is motivated, competitive and open-minded. Because of these attributes, Robert brings with him a valuable experience in various areas of the law, from litigating plaintiff personal injury lawsuits to defending small and medium-sized businesses against the IRS and state tax authorities. Robert also has served as an editor of the Southern Law Review and a member of both the Trial Advocacy executive board and Maritime Law Executive board. So what does Robert do in his free time?
“I love all food – but rice and gravy is the top!”
In addition to food, Robert also enjoys wakeboarding, hiking, and traveling! So he not only has extensive knowledge about Maritime Law, he also gets outside and being on the water whenever possible. Truly a Louisiana soul.
Robert’s biggest goal right now is “to make it through 2020”. We are sure that at GJ, we will make it through 2020 the best way we know how – together.
